Aaron was first elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 2009, and he has chaired the House Ways and Means Committee since 2019. He has also served as Chairman of the Joint Committee on Public Service, Election Laws, and as Chair of the Boston Legislative Delegation. He represents the Third Suffolk District, which comprises Boston neighborhoods, that on a map look like a Rorschach image: the North End, Waterfront, Chinatown, South End, Downtown, Leather District, Bay Village, and portions of the West End, Beacon Hill and the Back Bay.
