The Website & Internet Communications Committee is the newest committee of volunteers - formed in the spring of 2010.  The goal of this committee is to effectively and creatively communicate information to our members and potential members about the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park (FOCCP) organization and provide updates on what is going on in the Park.

So, what specifically does this committee do?

The primary tools used to communicate include the FOCCP website, a monthly newsletter and Facebook.

FOCCP Website: We continually update the website with new information and are working to enhance the site so it's more interesting and informative.  Do you have any fresh ideas on how we can make the website even better?  We'd love to hear them!

FOCCP Newsletter:  At a minimum, a monthly newsletter is sent to over 500 names in our database.  The newsletter provides information to members and potential members on what is going on in the park, general information about the FOCCP organization and some committee updates.

FOCCP Facebook:  The Facebook site is updated regularly with information about what is happening in the park.   Pictures are uploaded often to show FOCCP Facebook friends real time photos of actual events and/or scenic shots of the park.

Given the newness of our committee, we are still putting our group together and welcome to all ideas on how to best use the internet to communicate to our members and potential members.  If you have a knack for writing articles, have good computer skills or just want to learn something new, we'd like to hear from you..  Feel free to contact the Committee Chair, Audrey Tortolani at info@foccp.org if you are interested in learning more about the Website and Internet Communications Committee.
