History:
The Chisels and Chainsaws ice-carving sculpture event is created and organized by Nicole Seisler (www.nicoleseisler.com) and Dennis Svoronos, two graduates from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Since 2004 they have held the event twice at the SMFA and twice at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. This year, Chisels and Chainsaws is looking forward to being at the Christopher Columbus Park and appreciates being sponsored by the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park. The friendly competition is designed to highlight and bring together communities of art students and to create public art that is accessible to a wide audience.
